FSN's insurance enrollment program serves hundreds of clients each year, signing
families up for Medi-Cal and Healthy Families insurance. Our qualified application assister
helps both English and Spanish-speaking families all over the county. This program not
only includes insurance enrollment, but also education and outreach to the public in
places such as WIC sites, schools, hospitals and Head Start programs. On-site application
assistance is also available at these sites. We offer flexible hours to accommodate
working families and often go directly into the home when transportation is an issue.

A new component to this program is the Client Advocacy Program. FSN has on staff a
full-time bilingual case manager who is responsible for follow up with all families enrolled
with an insurance provider through the Application Assistance Program. The case
manager will assist families in accessing their services, ensure that newly enrolled families
are making their initial doctor and dental visit within 120 days and will handle all walk-in
requests for assistance.
