This is a unique camp held for the past 16 years for families who have a child under the
age of 6 with a significant medical, cognitive, developmental or mental health disability. It
offers a number of different services for families.
1. For parents, Camp TLC is an opportunity to attend workshops related to their child's
disability and network with other parents and the speakers. Topics may include: speech,
behavior, therapy and/or medical issues, father's support group and mother's support
group.
2. For the little ones requiring specialized childcare, we will have a staff of doctors and
nurses available during the presentations and workshops.
3. For all siblings, there will be supervised activities at designated times, such as arts and
crafts, swimming, and much more.
Camp is held over one weekend in July at the Oak Glen Christian Conference Center in
Yucaipa. The entire family is encouraged to attend and camp is designed to bring the
family together to get away from the hassles of everyday life. The clean air, the smell of
the pine trees and the sun are sure to rejuvenate both parents and siblings. Camp is a
huge undertaking, requiring over 100 volunteers. Parents who have attended camp often
say how comfortable they felt leaving their children in the hands of our qualified
volunteers. The care and attention each child receives is first-rate. We have space for
between 40-45 families to attend each year. Please call us if you are interested in
attending camp as either a family or a volunteer.
